Moss and lava tours tries to awoid the most trafficated locations when possible, so our guests can enjoy unspoiled nature, away from the hustle and bustle of the beaten track.
We are Erla Björk and Björn Jakob, have been married since 1978. Our aim is that our guests enjoy nature in Iceland and even finishing with a dinner in our home.
We adapt to the needs and wishes of our guests and make sure that they experience something unique and beautiful.
We offer daytours in our comfortable Mercedes Benz Sprinter which is converted to drive cross rivers and in the mountain areas and of course on normal roads. Free wifi on board.
Example of an 11 hour tour to Þórsmörk - 320 km - 200 miles
Day trip from Reykjavík to Þórsmörk, a nature reserve.
We Drive from Reykjavík to the east along the south coast.
Visit waterfalls and fishures on the way.
We drive north of Eyjafjallajökull into Þórsmörk on a road only for 4x4 vehicles on big tires over rivers and close to the glacier.
We barbeque our lunch and take a walk.
Returning same route visiting Drumbabót, the remains of an angient forest.

Day trip from Reykjavík to Borgarfjörður, a nature and cultural trip.
We Drive through Grafarvogur, a residential area in Reykjavík. Pass Grunnafjörður (protected by Ramsar treaty) to Borgarnes. Continue to Reykholt and Húsafell with a stop by Hraunfossar. Beautiful area bustling with history. We dine in Krauma and return back via less driven roads with a beautiful view.

Day trip from Reykjavík to Borgarfjörður, a nature and cultural trip.
We Drive through Grafarvogur, a residential area in Reykjavík. Pass Grunnafjörður (protected by Ramsar treaty) to Borgarnes. Continue to Reykholt and Húsafell with a stop by Hraunfossar. Beautiful area bustling with history. Then over mountainroad Kaldidalur to Þingvellir, a UNESCO side. Finishing with dinner in our home in Kópavogur.
